Day 1 LUANG PRABANG
Welcome the clients at Luan Prabang airport. Transfer to hotel.
The first destination is the world heritage town at the confluence of the Nam khane river and the Mekong River. The city is adorned with the beauty of Buddhist architecture, with a whopping 60 pagodas built around the Phou Si mount.
You can climb to the top of Mount Phou Si in a 15-minute hike uphill and get a stunning view of Luang Prabang, the busy market & the Royal palace. Enjoy a glorious sunset atop mount Phou Si. Overnight stay at the hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 2 A FULL DAY IN THE ANCIENT ROYAL CAPITAL- “LUANG PRABANG”
Start your day at morning 06’00 am towards the Monks alms collection site and experience the tradition and life of the Buddhist community.
After that head towards the local market and feel the pulse of the Laos people and return back to the hotel at 07’45 am for breakfast.
Around 08’30 am, visit the museum inside the Old Royal Palace along with this tour around Wat Xieng Thong & Wat Mai- Buddhist temple complexes with ornately detailed shrines, gardens & prayer halls.
If time allows you can tour around the city, and visit the Buddhist caves of Pak Ou- Tham ting alongside the Mekong & Nam Khan Rivers. If time allows, you can visit Ban Sanghai also called the Whisky village owing to the fact that it is famous for sticky alcohol distillation.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 GATEWAY TO PLAIN OF JAR SITES- “PHONSAVAN”
Morning, start your trip towards Phonsavan by road. Arrive at the destination located at an altitude of 1200 meters & discover Muang Sui, a town once famed for its Buddhist temples and marvelous architecture & beautiful countryside.
Visit the tribal villages of Mhong, and Laotheung and witness the tribal culture. Continue your journey towards Thong Hai Hin also known as the “Plain of Jars”, upon reaching the site, witness thousands of stone jars scattered around the valleys and the foothills.
Weighing from 600 kg to 6 tons, made out of sandstone and granite, and are believed to be more than 2000 years old. Admire the beauty of the ancient civilizations and enjoy the walk around the valleys. Overnight stay at the hotel in Phonsavan.
Day 4 PHONSAVAN – VIENTIANE- ANOTHER EARTHERN JAR SITE
There are more earthenware jars to be discovered!!! We head for another location, Hai Hin Laat Khai, located 35 km away towards the South of Phonsavanh. Upon arriving get stunned by the view of a hill stacked with 150 earthenware jars and stroll around the beautiful landscape of the hill.
Transfer to domestic airport to fly to Vientiane at 16:30 – 17:00 pm. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at a hotel in Vientiane.
Day 5 A DAY AT THE CAPITAL CITY- VIENTIANE
There is a lot to explore in the capital city of Laos.
Visit the Pha That Luang, the national monument of Laos & the center of attraction in the capital city. The gold-coated pinnacle and the 147 feet tall monuments are a sight to behold.
Also do visit the Wat Si Saket temple, dating back to 1818 BC. Built-in the contemporary Buddhist architecture. If time allows visiting Wat Phra Kaew (old royal temple), a buddha temple, transformed into a museum.
Evening transfer to Wattay airport for flight back to your home destination.
